What is a button?
A button is a clickable image that links to another site (in your case its usually your blog). Its 125x125 pixels in size (this is the only size I choose to work with) and easily fits into most blog sidebars. Beneath the image is a box where others can copy the code for you button and add your clickable image to their own site. This is a very important and effective advertising technique to grow your blog. Whether your site is brand new or well weathered, having a button with a grab code is invaluable to your blogs progression. Its how others can spread the word about you.
Here is an example:

Why do I offer this?
Over time, I've tried out a lot of different aspects of the blogging world. I realized that I enjoyed designing much more than actual blogging. I had my own design business at one time, but found it was less stressful and more fun to offer my designs for free and do it in my spare time. More like a hobby than a full-time job. I love the feeling I get when I know I've helped someone. It makes it all worth it. I focus on buttons not only because the process of putting them together is such a blast, but also because I feel it is an important part of your blog that should not be neglected.
How does this work?
I am able to offer my button designs for free because I work with affiliate partners. You can find the list of my partners here. I know that there are a lot of you who are in the same position as I was. Couldn't afford to pay someone to build a button for them. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to study html, design and learn how to make my own. Not everybody is so lucky. So I've come back to my roots to help you. Instead of receiving monetary compensation for my work from you, I offer you opportunities to work with my free affiliates programs through my affiliate links. All the programs are free to join, no contracts and have great membership benefits. I actually use many of them, like Swagbucks, on a daily basis. I take the polls, do searches and use the toolbar. I read my InboxDollars e-mails and check out their coupons (I'll be printing some as soon as I replace my printer ink).
The only affiliates I offer are ones with benefits that everyone should be enjoying anyway. By joining up with the programs through my affiliate link, I receive benefits for being the referral person you joined through. This is how I receive compensation for my time and efforts making your button. Its free to you, you get a free button design plus the rewards continue to come for you as you participate in the programs' activities and believe me, I've found it's worth it to participate. I usually ask that recipients of my button designs join at least 2 of my affiliates fun and rewarding programs.
How do I get started?
To get started, apply by filling out the form below as completely as you can. When you hit submit, your request will be sent to my e-mail and I will get back to you as soon as possible with more information. I only offer button design services for family friendly blogs. I reserve the right to refuse design services to anyone for any reason. Please note that this is an application to receive free button design services, not a guarantee of them. My availability is also a determining factor on whether an application is accepted.
Before filling out the form be sure to check out my affiliates page to determine which ones you would be interested in joining if your application is accepted. Please remember that you are not eligible to join through my affiliate link if you are already a member of that particular program. If you are already member of all the programs listed, please let me know so if necessary we can work out alternative options. Button design services can only be offered to those willing and able to work with my affiliate programs through my affiliate links. Thanks! Can't wait to receive your application!
The Process:
- Review my (fabulous ;-) affiliates page and make a note of at least 2 fun programs you are interested in joining.
- Fill out my Application Form below as completely as possible. Give as many details as you can about how awesome you and your blog are and some ideas you have for your button.
- The information is automatically sent to me as soon as you hit submit. I review it, check my schedule, and e-mail you back to let you know if I'm available.
- If I am: We make you a button!
For free images to use I've found Microsoft Clip Art to be a very valuable and useful resource. If you find any you want me to use in your design, let me know.
